START-REC SCORES “SPEAKERINE”
Start-Rec scores the latest TV series on France 2, Speakerine. It follows the life and destiny of Christine, a famous announcer of the RTF in 60’s.
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
For this project Start-Rec wanted to reflect the 60’s-Set of the series, added with a suspenseful action atmosphere.
Exploring Jazz music to depict the 60’s and subjects like women’s emancipation or social satire of french TV appeared to be an evocative artistical – path and also a perfect way to underline the suspenseful police investigation on attacks related to Algerian war.
Inspired by references like “Madmen”, or “Ascenseur pour l’échafaud”, Start-Rec collaborated with jazz trumpeter Erik Truffaz.
Indeed, he played the theme and brpught his musical universe into the DNA of the score. Start-Rec also did the music supervision on additional music and arrangement.
